Our Mission

The mission of the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development and its Housing Authority is to expand access to a broad range of quality housing options; create safe, well planned, attractive residential communities while assisting families in maintaining self-sufficiency and promoting stability within communities.

 

About Us

The Housing Authority of Prince George’s County, Maryland (“HAPGC” or the “Authority”) is a semi-autonomous governmental agency charged with the provision of housing assistance services via the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program, Rental Allowance Program and County-owned public housing. HAPGC is composed of three branches: the Housing Assistance Division, Rental Assistance Division and Financial and Administrative Services.
