Office of the Director
The Office of the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) provides leadership and policy guidance to achieve the Department's goals and operate the Department's programs efficiently. The Director receives advice from the Consolidated Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) and the Housing Authority Boards of Commissioners. The CPAC assists in the development of the County's Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan, in the evaluation of proposals for the Community Development Program and acts as a liaison to the community concerning development issues. The Housing Authority Commissioners assist in policy development for Housing Authority programs.
Additionally, the Office of the Director performs administrative and support functions for all DHCD programs. The Office is responsible for all personnel and public information functions for the Department and coordinates administrative/clerical support for DHCD. The Office also reviews local, state and federal housing and community development legislation to identify its potential impact on the County.
The Director represents the County in various local, State and national organizations and serves as a voice for the County's housing and community development interests.
